I Need a MATLAB Code that would mark the ridges in a Fingerprint image and give it as a new image like a set of ridges obtained from the crime scene using black power

I have undertaken a project to devise an algorithm that would help me identify a latent Fingerprint and reconstruct the lost part of the fingerprint, thereby building the complete fingerprint so that it may be be compared for similarity with the full fingerprints in the database

Now i face a problem where Marking minutiae in fingerprints in an image is not possible but it is done wen an image of the ridges of the fingerprint obtained using black powder.

I literally tried and failed since am not so good with matlab and so it would be nice if anyone could help me to solve this issue of mine
