When I open Matlab 2009b I get a license manager error -9. How do I get matlab to work on this new computer?

I just used MAC OSX Migration Assitatant to transfer my files onto a new computer. When I open Matlab 2009b I get a license error -9. How do I get matlab to work on this new computer?
