How do I set up constrained optimization

I want to select weights for a phase taper for a planar antenna array. I want to find the weights subject to the constraint that the sidelobes (pattern away from the central bandwidth) are less than a certain value. I am unsure of how to set up the constraint using theoptimization toolbox
