Set requirement link source

Syntax

setSource(myLink,src)

Description

setSource(myLink,src) sets the link source to the item specified by src for the link myLink. You can set a link source only to a linkable item that belongs to the current source artifact for myLink.

Input Arguments

myLink — Link

slreq.Link object

Link, specified as an slreq.Link object.

src — Link source item

string scalar | character vector | double | slreq.Requirement object | slreq.Reference object | ...

Link source item, specified as a:

• slreq.Requirement or slreq.Reference object

• String scalar or character vector that specifies the name of a Simulink^® model or the path to a Simulink block or subsystem, Stateflow^® chart, or System Composer™ port or component

• Handle to a Simulink block, subsystem, or a System Composer port or component

• Stateflow.Chart (Stateflow), Stateflow.State (Stateflow), or Stateflow.Transition (Stateflow) object

• Simulink.data.dictionary.Entry (Simulink) object

• sltest.testmanager.TestFile (Simulink Test), sltest.testmanager.TestSuite (Simulink Test), sltest.testmanager.TestCase (Simulink Test), or sltest.testmanager.TestIteration (Simulink Test) object

• slreq.TextRange object (since R2022b)

• RequirementRow object (since R2026a)

• String scalar or character vector that specifies the path to a MAT file (since R2024b)

Find and Repair Orphan Links

This example shows how to find and repair orphan links.

Load the myAddRequirements requirement set, which contains requirements for a MATLAB® function that adds two inputs and outputs the result.

The myAddRequirements requirement set has incoming links from lines of code in the myAddOrphan MATLAB code file. Get a handle to the link set.

myLinkSet = slreq.find(Type="LinkSet");

Find the orphan links in the link set. Display the number of orphan links.

orphanLinks = getOrphanLinks(myLinkSet);
numOrphanLinks = numel(orphanLinks)

The source of the orphan link is line 2 in the myAddOrphan MATLAB code file. Get the line range object associated with that line of code.

lineRange = slreq.getTextRange("myAddOrphan.m",2);

Repair the orphan link by using the setSource method.

Confirm that there are no orphan links.
