The code simulates a hybrid renewable energy system consisting of photovoltaic (PV), wind, and diesel generation, along with battery energy storage. The energy balance, control strategy, and performance parameters for the system are calculated and plotted. The simulation takes into account the minimum state of charge (SoC) of the battery, the minimum operating load of the diesel generator, and the diesel generator ramp rate. The overall load coverage, battery utilization, and load coverage per time step are calculated and displayed, while the load profile, generation sources, and battery state of charge are plotted. It should be noted that the code can use more realistic and time-dependent generation profiles for PV and wind, such as recorded historical data, to achieve more accurate generation profiles.
