best setup to controlling 8 or more analog outputs

Hi All,
Does anyone have any suggestions for a hardware/software setup to control 8 or more analog outputs? I currently have a national instruments board PCIe-6351 but it only has 2 AOs and I need more. I don't see any national instrument boards with 8 AOs that are supported by matlab software. Someone must be using matlab to control more 4+ AOs, if so can you tell me how you are doing it.
Thanks, Jon

You could chain together multiple NI cards (I have two 6289 cards arranged in series, each with 2 AO, to get 4 total AO). Of course, this solution gets costly quickly.
Can any of your input channels be sent through the digital I/O slots?
Even without chaining, you can have multiple copies of the same board. There could be issues with that, however, if you need all of them to have exactly the same clock; in that case you would need to use a board that supported triggering and trigger them off of the same clock. Some of the NI boards support chaining the trigger.
You haven't given a lot of information about your requirements. What about an 8 channel soundcard?

Quickly looking at the supported hardware page for data acquisition toolbox, I see that both NI PCI-6713 and NI 9264 are supported which have 8 AO channels. See this page for complete list. Are there any other requirements too for your setup?
