Which Add-on contains Simscape Power Systems?

Hi,

For a research paper I want to create a model of a flywheel energy storage system (FESS) and simulate the operation with a wind turbine (input). As output I want to evaluate if the power quality is improved through the FESS.

Someone recommended me the Simscape Power Systems library but I am not sure which add-on this is part of. I am currently working with the Student Suite and I want to avoid buying the wrong add-ons (due to my students budget).

I'm happy for all the help, tips and tricks!

In release R2018b two products, one of which was Simscape Power Systems™, were combined into Simscape™ Electrical™.

I do need to get Simscape™ as well, otherwise Simscape™ Electrical™ won't work, or did I understand that wrong on the website?

According to the product requirements yes, Simscape™ is required.
