Divide line in binary image

I would like to kindly ask you for the help with splitting line in the Binary line. I have the binary image with one line.

I need to split (within its direction) the line into isolated disconnected lines, where individual lines should not be wider than 3 pixels. I will really appreciate any help.

Try bwerode() and other morphological functions. Sorry, but I don't have a complete turnkey demo to give you.
