initial conditions in simscape joints

hello everyone,
We have a project of designing a robotic arm, using hydraulic actuation for its
revolute joints,but have encountered some problems with our simscape model
when we define initial conditions (high priority or low) to one of the revolute joints, the simulation time becomes much bigger.
could someone please tell us what the problem might be?
