CMD+S tries to save my workspace instead of my active function/script. How do I revert this behavior?

I'm running Matlab 2018a on a MacBook with High Sierra 10.13.6. Whenever I'm using the editor to write functions or scripts I use cmd+S to save my changes. Recently when I've tried to do this, Matlab tries to save a .mat file instead of the expected .m file. I assume it is attempting to save my workspace instead of the active function/script in my editor.
I always use the editor docked in the main window, if that helps at all.

In preferences there is a shortcuts tab, where I found CMD+S was assigned to Save Workspace instead of Save.
Changed it back and now it works, I guess I must have changed it accidentally somehow.
