Plot a list of coordinates on a 3D Sphere

Hey all,

I was wondering if it is possible to read from a list of coordinates

i.e.

N32 W14

And then plot that location on a sphere (maybe with a popup of some sort identifying a name)? I was hoping to do something like this if it's not too complicated:

The list of coordinates would be read from an FTP file.
