Good day to all.
I know the title is a bit confusing, but I did not know how to put it better.
So, I have an Electric Vehicle Powertrain modelled on Simulink. It has a Battery (the one from Specialised Power System), it has a Dc/Dc converter (modelled using R,L,C and mosfet) and an Electric Drive (from the Specialised Power System AC Drives examples).
Thing is, I want to simulate this model for a few hours representing an actual driving scenario of a real vehicle (for example, FTP-75 cycle put on a loop 3-4 times). I basically want to observe the battery discharging and the related parameters.
How can I run this model? Is this possible with a PC of 8gb RAM, i5 10th gen processor and SSD?
What are the possible ways to perform this simulation without crashing/freezing/overloading my computer? I am aware of the Accelerator modes, but it would be really great to get inputs on how to use it effectively!
Let me know if I need to edit my question and make it more clear! Thank you in advance <3.

Hi Gokul
I understand that you want to run a simulation without overloading your computer. The following steps can help you to achieve this:
  • You can run the performance advisor to compare simulation speeds and select an appropriate level for hardware acceleration. I’m linking the documentation below, follow it to understand it’s usage:
  • You can set the priority of the Simulink task to high in the Windows Task Manager.
Hope this helps!
