How can I design Numerical relay in matlab for distribtion system with renewables??

I am designing microgrid with 18 bus system.

I want to simulate high impedance fault in system and protect it from numerical relay.

I am totaly blank about designing numerical relay in matlab...can anyone please help??

yes, I have modeled a High impedacne fault in MATLAB. Use variable resistance using controlled volatge source in MATLAB to simulate this fault.
