unable to launch the application

after updating java, I can am now not able to install matlab. I get the following error:
my java version is 7 update 51. build 1.7.0_51-b13

Had the same problem earlier today on my Windows 7 64 bit machine.
Follow the instructions on this page
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/java_blocked.xml
and enter "http://www.mathworks.com" on the exception site list.
Then run the download agent.

this solution combined with changing the security level to medium, worked!
you can find the security tab by going to the configure java program.
