Overview

This session is the the final round of MathWorks minidrone competition – EMEA 2023. In this session, the video presentation of the approach used in the simulation round by the shortlisted teams will be showcased to all the finalists, audience/panelists., which will be followed by an audience/ Panelist Q&A session.

We will conclude the session by announcing the top three winners of the competition.

About the Presenter

Carlos Rodríguez de Cos is a PhD in Robotics working at MathWorks as Education Customer Success Engineer. He supports teaching and research at Nordic universities and research institutions to simplify their problems and move towards interactivity and time efficiency. Prior to joining MathWorks, Carlos worked as a postdoctoral researcher in human- robot interaction at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He holds a PhD in Robotics with a specialization in aerial manipulators (i.e., drones equipped with robot arms) from the University of Seville, Spain, and an MSc and BSc in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in designing aircraft and spacecraft, also from the University of Seville.
