Exit junction that crosses state boundary of Stateflow chart

Description

An exit junction crosses the boundaries and hierarchy of Stateflow^® states. Exit junctions connect to exit ports on the state boundary. Use exit junctions to connect states at different levels of hierarchy in a chart, or to create transitions that cross hierarchy boundaries.

To add an exit to a chart:

1. In the Stateflow Editor, in the object palette, click the Exit icon .

2. Click a location inside a state or atomic subchart to place the exit junction. Stateflow places a matching exit port on the state boundary.

3. Type a label for the exit junction.

Properties

To edit graphical object properties interactively, right-click the object and select Properties.

To modify exit junction properties programmatically, use Stateflow.Port objects.

Label — Label for the exit junction

Label for the exit junction. This property is read-only. Click the hyperlink to navigate to the exit junction in the Stateflow Editor. The label identifies the exit point and matches the label on the corresponding exit port on the state boundary. To change the label, edit it on the chart canvas.
