Model Advisor Edit-Time Checks
R2026bYou can use the Simulink® Check™ Model Advisor to check that your model or subsystem complies with a variety of modeling guidelines. You use edit-time checking to identify modeling issues while you build or modify your model. Edit-time checks run automatically in the background and provide immediate feedback without requiring you to run the full Model Advisor. Only a subset of Model Advisor checks supports edit-time execution. These checks are selected to balance performance and usefulness during active model editing.
Default Edit-Time Checks
Edit-time checking includes a predefined set of checks that are enabled by default. These default checks focus on common modeling issues that you can detect quickly as the model changes. By enabling a limited and curated set of checks, edit-time checking provides timely feedback while maintaining acceptable performance during model editing.
Customize Default Edit-Time Checks
The set of edit-time checks that runs by default depends on the Model Advisor configuration that you load. To change which edit-time checks are enabled by default, you use the Model Advisor Configuration Editor.
In the Model Advisor Configuration Editor, you select the checks that you want to enable and save the configuration. When you load this configuration, the selected checks appear enabled by default for edit-time checking.
For details on creating and modifying configurations, see Use Model Advisor Configuration Editor to Customize Model Advisor.
