Number of bits: long
Bit length of C long data type for test hardware
Model Configuration Pane: Hardware Implementation
Description
The Number of bits: long parameter specifies the bit length of
the C long data type for the hardware that you use to test
code.
Selecting a device by using the Device vendor and Device type parameters sets a device-specific value for this parameter.
Dependencies
This parameter is enabled only if you can modify it for the selected hardware.
Settings
32 (default) | 40 | 48 | 56 | 64The bit length must be an integer multiple of 8 that is between
32 and 64, inclusive. Different devices have
different settings available for this parameter.
Recommended Settings
| Application | Setting |
|---|---|
| Debugging | No impact |
| Traceability | No impact |
| Efficiency | Target specific |
| Safety precaution | No impact when Test hardware is the same as production hardware is selected. If it is not selected, no recommendation. |
