Set XCP target polling time
R2026bSet XCP-based polling time automatically or manually
Since R2022a
Model Configuration Pane: Hardware Implementation / Hardware board settings / Target hardware resources / Groups / External mode
Description
The Set XCP target polling time parameter sets the XCP-based polling time automatically or manually for Simulink® models that contain blocks from the Raspberry Pi® Blockset in external mode (Monitor & Tune).
This parameter applies to both XCP on TCP/IP and XCP on CAN transport layers. When set to
Manually, the Polling time (in
seconds) parameter becomes available for you to specify a custom polling
time.
Dependencies
To enable this parameter, set Communication interface to
XCP on TCP/IP or XCP on CAN.
Settings
Automatically (default) | ManuallySet the XCP-based polling time automatically or manually.
Automatically(default)The polling time is set automatically based on the model sample time. This is suitable for most use cases with XCP on TCP/IP and XCP on CAN.
ManuallySpecify a custom polling time using the Polling time (in seconds) parameter. Use this option when the target runtime environment cannot consistently execute the XCP communication stack within the model sample time, such as during temporary overloads caused by higher-priority tasks or periodic activities that exceed the model sample time.
