Overview

Product development is moving faster than ever. Global competition and rapidly evolving technology mean teams are under pressure to deliver first, or risk falling behind. Speed matters. Anything that slows development is pushed aside or deferred to a later release.

For teams building products with embedded software, that pressure creates a familiar tension. You’re constantly balancing time, features, cost, and quality. Conventional wisdom says you can only optimize three at once.

In this webinar, a veteran engineer shares lessons learned the hard way:

  • Sacrificing quality to save time is a false trade-off that often ends up costing more time later.
  • With the right approach, building in quality early can actually accelerate development, reduce cost, and enable more features.

You’ll be introduced to six practical game changers that help teams take control of time, features, cost, and quality together in embedded software development, with examples drawn from production systems across multiple industries.

Highlights

Control time, features, cost and quality for your embedded software with six game changers:

  1. Zero Defect code proving with formal methods.
  2. Unified static code analysis, code proving, and dynamic testing.
  3. MBD-generated code analysis with traceability to Simulink model.
  4. Instant feedback in your IDE or Simulink model editor (“shift left”)
  5. Advanced analysis - memory, security, threads, performance, etc.
  6. Automated V&V in your CI pipeline / DevOps / Software Factory.

Learn how the right verification and validation process not only increases quality and reduces risk, but also improves productivity and gains competitive advantage.

About the Presenter

Damian Packer is the Global Overlay Sales Manager for Polyspace Products at MathWorks, where he leads a world-wide Polyspace-focused sales team.

In his 35-year career, Damian has been a software developer, manager, and director; an application engineer, a sales rep, and now a sales manager. Damian was a member of the original Simulink development team and led the team that developed MATLAB Handle Graphics at MathWorks. He directed software development and QA at an MIT-spun off startup that brought an advanced cybersecurity product to market.

He brings broad experience in software development processes, quality, cybersecurity, business, and leadership to his current role in fostering successful partnerships, executive relationships, enhancing the customer experience, and ensuring the global success of Polyspace products.
