Developing Autonomous Systems: Planning Algorithms

Start Time End Time
15 Oct 2026, 5:30 AM EDT 15 Oct 2026, 6:30 AM EDT

Overview

Whether your robot flies, drives, swims, or manipulates, planning and decision-making algorithms are essential for any autonomous system. In this webinar, you will learn how to design, implement, and test a variety of these algorithms – all using MATLAB and Simulink

Highlights

  • Environment-based global path planning
  • Local path planning and path optimization
  • Implementing decision-making and task-scheduling algorithms with state machines
  • Validation and deployment of planning and decision-making algorithms

Please note: this series is a rerun for India time zone and will be hosted by India-based engineers

About the Presenter

Richa Singh is an Application Engineer at MathWorks India, specializing in autonomous systems development for Aerospace, Defense, Robotics, and UAV applications. She collaborates with industry leaders to accelerate the development of perception, navigation, guidance, and control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.

Her work focuses on model-based design workflows for autonomous systems, including system modeling, sensor fusion, tracking, control development, and embedded deployment. Richa holds a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay, with a specialization in Dynamics and Control.
