WaveSense Enables Self-Driving Vehicles to Navigate in Challenging Road Conditions

As part of the MathWorks Startup Program, WaveSense has access to MATLAB at a startup-friendly price and engineering support from MathWorks experts, which enables them to research projects, develop prototypes, and bring their products to production.

WaveSense technology enables autonomous vehicles to operate in snow, rain, fog, and other conditions where cameras and other sensors cannot. The positioning and localization system acquires ultra-wideband radar reflections and uses MATLAB^® to extract and analyze the data to create a subterranean map that determines a vehicle’s location with centimeter-level accuracy.
