MATLAB Release that fits to correct Version of Data Acquisition Toolbox™ Support Package for National Instruments® NI-DAQmx Devices

We try use an older National Instruments NI-PCI 6014 multifunction I/O Module together with MATLAB Data Acquisition Toolbox on WIN10 plattform. Before starting the complete installation work (MATLAB, Data Acquisition Toolbox, Hardware Support Package for NI-Hardware ...), we need to know the latestest software versions, that fit with this product.

On National Instruments page we find, that the latest version is NI-DAQmx 15.5 für this Module.

Which version fits?

We want to use this system for educational reasons in our electronic lab.

I found some links that may be helpful. I do want to caution that my response should not be considered an official response from MathWorks, though.

Hardware Support Package System Requirements

• Under Data Acquisition Toolbox you will find a link for NI-DAQmx devices

Clicking that link takes you to the NI-DAQmx Support from Data Aquisition Toolbox page.

• Expand the menu under PCI, and you will find a row for PCI-6014, indicating versions of MATLAB and Simulink that support this card, as well as what features are supported.

My interpretation of this table is that the PCI-6014 card is supported in MATLAB from at least 2014a through the current version of MATLAB (R2021a), and in Simulink from 2016b through the current version.

Thank you Chris. I found out the same and this is not really my problem.

In the Hardware Support Package Data Acquisition Toolbox Support Package for National Instruments NI-DAQmx Devices includes the 3rd party package from National Instruments NI-DAQmx.

On NI-Homepage I found out, that I need NI-DAQmx Version 15.5 . Later versions do not support PCI-6014.

When I download the Data Acquisition Toolbox Support Package for National Instruments NI-DAQmx Devices in my standard Matlab installation R2019b, in the download folder there is a folder NIDAQ1850f2.zip with the 3rd party software (see attachment)..I think this is NI-DAQmx Version 18.5 - this is not working with PCI-6014.

Which Matlab release supports NI DAQmx Version 15.5 in the mentioned Hardware Support Package? R2014a? ...

Hy Chris,

sorry for my inquiry. When I scroll down the page https://de.mathworks.com/hardware-support/nidaqmx.html , at the bottom of the page there is the table I need. It is a very long page and I didn't look to the end.

I think R2017a should work.
