Difficulty Isolating Kidneys in Mice Ultrasounds when Thresholding/Segmenting

조회 수: 1 (최근 30일)
Hey my team and I are attempting to reliably segment kidneys from mice ultrasounds without the need for manual segmentation. We are finding difficulty in isolating the kidneys as a segmentation through various thresholding and segmentation techniques. We're working with 3D .mha volumes wherein we pull slices from. The issue comes when we attempt to create masks from these slices because the images are difficult to view let alone have a processing technique that outputs just the kidneys. Instead the processing tends to catch other anatomy pieces and we struggle to isolate just the kidneys. The ultimate goal is to have this be automated but at this point we're just focused on segmenting the kidneys. I've attached a reference image for the anatomy, a .jpeg image with the kidneys with a drawn ROI, and 2 .mat files (one of the base anatomy for creating the segment and another that was an attempted masking for it). Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!
Also For clarification: we're utilizing the image segmenter app currently to segment these images. Thanks.
