Can i use a different license variable name other than "LM_LICENSE_FILE"?

I have a lab equipment that i installed Mathlab. The other software installed on the computer have issues/conflict when i use "LM_LICENSE_FILE" license variable for Mathlab.

Can it be renamed like (i.e. MATHLAB_LICENSE_FILE)?
