Matlab is crashing in Ubuntu 16.04 when I run matlab from terminal. What is the reason? How do I make it run and use?

I have registered for Matlab and got the licence and installed and activated successfully. But, when I run it from terminal using command matlab, matlab is crashing after giving the error as attached in screenshot. I am using Ubuntu 16.04LTS. Kindly help me in this regard.
