Combining multiple figures into one with uicontrols, or combining figure frames into a movie...

Hi,

I've made a nice figure, with uicontrols, and learned how to take frames of that to make a mpg movie. Now, I need to combine several such synchronized frames into one figure to make a movie of all of them together. I can maybe imagine a grid of figures, and making a movie frame of that, and if I lose the uicontrols, not too big a deal (but would be nice to keep those). Or perhaps, I make 3 separate figures, get 3 separate frames, and organize them in a larger frame to make each frame of the movie.

What's the best approach?
