How can I set Id and Iq references in an inverter?

I'm simulating a microgrid and need an inverter for my DC sources. In my design, to control the active and reactive power, there is a controller that must constantly adjust the reference values for the Id and Iq of the inverter. My question is how can i set this issue in the inverter. Thank you if anyone can help.

We know that d-axis current will control the active power and the q-axis current will control the reactive power. Usually we have two PI controllers controlling the two currents. In addition an algorithm for generating the references is needed. A good place to start with understanding how Active/Reactive/Apparent power is:
