Options for software writes of new builds to flash memory on hardware board

Description

The Flash erase options parameter configures Simulink® Coder™ for writes of new builds to the flash memory on the TI Hercules RM57Lx hardware board.

Settings

Entire Flash (default) | Necessary Sectors Only (for Program Load)
Entire Flash

Erase the entire flash memory, removing the currently deployed model and all memory contents.

Necessary Sectors Only (for Program Load)

Erase only the necessary sectors in the flash memory for deployment of the model. Flash memory sectors not required for model deployment are preserved from the previous model deployment.

Examples

  1. In the Simulink Editor, select Simulation > Model Configuration Parameters.

  2. In the Configuration Parameters dialog box, click Hardware Implementation.

  3. Set the Hardware board parameter to TI Hercules RM57Lx Launchpad and click Apply.

    The parameter values under Hardware board settings are automatically populated to their default values.

  4. From the Build options group, select Flash erase options from the drop down list and click Apply.

  5. Click OK to close the dialog box.
