Real-Time Embedded Software Developer

Job Summary

As an embedded software developer, you will apply your Linux/RTOS expertise to develop turnkey prototyping solutions for automotive, aerospace, energy, and industrial automation applications.

 

Our customers take Simulink models developed for desktop simulation and turn them into real-time applications running on dedicated target computers connected to real, physical systems.  The algorithms run on multi-core CPU's and FPGA's and we provide instrumentation and visualization capabilities.

Responsibilities

You will define, design and apply exciting new technologies that span low-level system internals to communication interfaces to the user-facing graphical interfaces. You will also collaborate with other teams to bring technical projects from concept to product release, including code implementation and testing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required.
  • Programming experience in C++
  • Experience with embedded systems

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong nice to have: C++11 features Concurrency, e.g. std::atomic, std::future, std::thread
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (e.g. Embedded Linux, QNX) and their internals
  • Experience with UI development, calibration/testing interfaces and data recording
  • Experience with middleware i.e. ROS, DDS
  • Experience with communications protocols i.e. CAN and UDP
  • Experience with concurrency and performance optimization
  • Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink
