AI and Predictive Maintenance for Utilities and Energy

Overview

In this webinar, MathWorks will demonstrate how AI and predictive maintenance are transforming the utilities and energy sector. We'll showcase how system simulation and machine learning can be combined to develop advanced algorithms for fault location detection on electric grids, and how AI-based models can accelerate innovation in electrical technologies. Using real-world examples and MATLAB/Simulink workflows, we'll illustrate how to generate synthetic data, train robust classification and predictive maintenance algorithms, and apply AI-based virtual sensors and reduced-order models to electrical systems. Attendees will gain actionable insights into improving fault detection, optimizing system performance, and enabling predictive maintenance for critical assets such as power converters, motors, batteries, and grid systems.
