Job Summary

As a Web Developer on our team, you will utilize your web development experience to make improvements to MATLAB Online. You will be responsible for working with Business areas and Usability to gather requirements and create functional specifications. In addition, you will be responsible for making feature enhancements and bug fixes in our applications built in Ruby, JavaScript and/or Java. You will also work closely with Quality Engineers to ensure our high quality standards.

Responsibilities

Be part of an Agile team that designs, develops, and maintains MATLAB web applications. Participate in all team activities such as planning, requirements definition, design discussions, code reviews, and software development. Work effectively with other team members to provide a quality product for our customers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a master's degree, or a PhD degree is required.
  • Programming experience in JavaScript

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience developing client side JavaScript
  • Object Oriented Analysis & Design skills
  • Knowledge of SDLC 
  • Experience (or interest) in gathering internal customer design requirements

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with AngularJS, Knockout, Backbone, Ember
  • TDD experience
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure services, such as AWS
  • Experience with MATLAB
